PHILIPPINES – ASUS have finally launched the bigger sibling of their new battery king, the ZenFone Max Pro M1 in the Philippines, with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, compared to the previous 3GB / 32GB variant.
Learning that there’s also a 4GB / 64GB and a 6GB / 64GB variant of the said phone, fans are holding on to buying the ZenFone Max Pro M1 3GB / 32GB variant on Lazada (where it is currently sold exclusively), since they hope that ASUS might release the higher variants, too. They’re also wishing for them to sell the units on their physical stores, aside from Lazada. ASUS’s official Facebook page is currently the witness to these clamors.
The company has finally heard the fans’ wishes and in the ZenFone Philippines’ first-ever mobile gaming festival held today in SM North EDSA, in partnership with SM Cyberzone, they’ve announced that the larger variant would be made available in the country as well, and it will be available on physical stores, too, compared to the 3GB variant’s exclusive sale on Lazada.
The ZenFone Max Pro M1 that was announced sports the long-awaited 4GB memory and 64GB storage. Other than that, the camera also gets an upgrade, with 16MP + 5MP dual rear camera instead of 13MP + 5MP on the lower-end variant. Together with the powerful combination of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor, 5,000 mAh battery pack & 18:9 FHD+ display as well as pure Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.
Other than that, there isn’t any word out if ASUS also plans to bring the higher end, 6GB variant in the country.
